What is a good freestanding prof. basketball hoop to get?
My husband, who used to play college ball, has been wanting a hoop for our driveway for some time. I want to get him one for his birthday but he is really picky and unfortunatley I haven't been paying attention whenever he makes comments at Academy and other sports stores. I know he wants a good solid and professional sized backboard, a sturdy base, and a pole that is situated so he won't hit himself on it when doing layups. I'd like to keep it under $250 if possible....I also know jack about basketball, as I'm a football gal, any opinions/suggestions would be great!
There are many available out there. One good choice would be this one: Lifetime Reebok 51587 44" Fusion Backboard Portable Basketball Goal. I have owned one from more than 2 years now and still looks like new.
